What Are the Four Kinds?
One of the special mitzvot of Sukkot is taking the Four Kinds: the lulav (palm branch), etrog (citron), hadassim (myrtle) and aravot (willow). We bring all four together, recite the blessing and wave them in every direction, expressing Jewish unity and our awareness of G‑d’s presence everywhere.
